2016 Restrained Cabernet Sauvignon
A Cabernet Sauvignon based blend, the 2016 Restrained comes from 9 vineyards across the Napa Valley. Sandalwood, Blackberry and Nutmeg greet you on the nose. The Rutherford dust dances across your palate, with notes of dark cherry, chocolate and hints of cedar, rose petal and black tea. Bright acidity on the front of the palate leads to restrained power and a long lingering finish.
2014 Resurrection Red Blend
PARKER REVIEW 96pts: The 2014 Proprietary Red Secret Indulgence comes from three vineyards owned by Boisset. This 200-case cuvée is aged 23-24 months in 40% new French oak. Made under the helmsmanship of Boissets winemaker Stephanie Putnam and consulting oenologist Philippe Melka, the wine exhibits a dense purple color, a big, sweet kiss of chocolate, blackberry and cassis, a touch of forest floor and earth, a bit of truffle and loads of black and blue fruits, background oak, sweet tannin and adequate acidity. It should drink well for 20 or more years.
